When God gave Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world, He gave his very best, His only begotten Son.

We should give our very best, our time, our love, our compassion, our understanding, our service, our encouragement and simply reach out to others in times of need.

We all know that times are difficult. The stock market, unemployment, all these bailouts of major financial institutions and things seem to be worsening.

At the church I attend we have seen a increase of families in need. Not only within the congregation, but also within the surrounding communities. Literally hundreds come weekly for food from the food shelter.

Basic, Instructions, Before, Leaving Earth.

Simple translation, and in many ways very true. I prefer to call the scriptures God's love letters. Another personal translation of mine is the do's and the don't's. One of my favorite books is the book of Proverbs which is full of instructions that can be applied to everyday life and life's everyday decisions. It is written that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Truth is, God has it covered, and has given us Godly wisdom through the scriptures.

For the Bridegroom, the Beloved Husbandman, our King, is a God overflowing with love, compassion and gracious thoughts towards us.

There is a mighty river that flows, that is flowing, that flows, which comes from the heart of God. There is a mighty river, that flows, which is flowing, that touches our hearts and changes our live. For the river of our God is good, and through and in Christ, we bask in His heavenly waters. Poured forth richly, even as deep cries out to deep.

Sometimes we stick our toes in to test the waters, and the Lord says; the river is good. Other times we go in ankle deep, and the Lord says; the river is good. Other times we go in waist deep and the Lord says; the river is good. Sometimes we hang onto a our safety bars, and the Lord says; the river is flowing. Come, come, come into the waters.

It's ok, we can let go of our safety bars, and trust Him, because the river is good, the river is flowing and the Lord is the river.

Drink deep beloved. Drink deep, the goodness of your God. Bask in His presence, in His love, in His compassion, and in His tender mercies.

There are those unfortunate situations, circumstances and just plain old accidents that lead to wounds, scabs and scares. We all encounter them. However there are also wounds that lead to scabs that we bring about through many situations.

1) Wrong Decisions
2) Rebellion
3) Disobedience
4) Pride
5) Selfishness
6) Stubbornness
7) Refusing to hear wise counsel

The list in many ways is endless.

Many times when we struggle with a certain character flaw. That same wound gets re opened over, and over and over and never truly heals. Sometimes God will also pick at that very wound and will not bring healing to that wound until we examine ourselves and repent.

You might say, not so!

Hsa 6:1 ? Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

We always want to cover things over, yet when we do, they just keep popping up again.

Please pray for the fatherless, of the nations of the world. There has been so much war and death, that the numbers are rising with regards to the fatherless and widows.

Recent reports are said that in Iraq alone there are 100,000 widows who have lost their husbands to the war and terrorism. However when one ponders the wars, terrorism, starvation and other factors. The numbers dramatically increase.

As members of the body of Christ, we have been given authority in God's Kingdom here on earth. One of the missing links in the church today is walking in that authority. To walk in the authority that God has given us, we must walk in the love of Christ, by the spirit and in truth and righteousness.

Here is a quick bible study on authority:

"authority" (from the impersonal verb exesti, "it is lawful"). From the meaning of "leave or permission," or liberty of doing as one pleases, it passed to that of "the ability or strength with which one is endued," then to that of the "power of authority," the right to exercise power, e.g., Mat 9:6; 21:23; 2Cr 10:8; or "the power of rule or government," the power of one whose will and commands must be obeyed by others, e.g., Mat 28:18; Jhn 17:2; Jud 1:25; Rev 12:10; 17:13; more specifically of apostolic "authority," 2Cr 10:8; 13:10; the "power" of judicial decision, Jhn 19:10; of "managing domestic affairs," Mar 13:34. By metonymy, or name-change (the substitution of a suggestive word for the name of the thing meant), it stands for "that which is subject to authority or rule," Luk 4:6 (RV, "authority," for the AV "power"); or, as with the English "authority," "one who possesses authority, a ruler, magistrate," Rom 13:1-3; Luk 12:11; Tts 3:1; or "a spiritual potentate," e.g., Eph 3:10; 6:12; Col 1:16; 2:10,15; 1Pe 3:22. The RV usually translates it "authority." In 1Cr 11:10 it is used of the veil with which a woman is required to cover herself in an assembly or church, as a sign of the Lord's "authority" over the church.

Power: pou’-er: This word, indicative of might, strength, force, is used in the Old Testament to render very many Hebrew terms, the translation in numerous instances being varied in the Revised Version (British and American) to words like "valor," "rule," "strength," "might," "dominion." The principal words for "power" in the New Testament are dunamis, and exousia. In the latter case the Revised Version (British and American) frequently changes to "authority" (Mr 3:15; 6:7; Eph 1:21, etc.) or "right" (Ro 9:21; 1Co 9:6; 2Th 3:9, etc.). Power is attributed preeminently to God (1Ch 29:11; Job 26:14; Ps 66:7; 145:11; Re 7:12, etc.). On this attribute of power of God, see OMNIPOTENCE. The supreme manifestation of the power, as of the wisdom and love of God, is in redemption (1Co 1:18,24). The preaching of the gospel is accompanied by the power of the Holy Spirit (1Co 2:4; 1Th 1:5, etc.). Miracles, as "mighty works," are denoted by the term "powers" (so Mt 11:21,23 the Revised Version margin, etc.). The end of all time’s developments is that God takes to Him His great power and reigns (Re 11:17).
